Ethiopia has the opportunity to demonstrate its leadership role in the world

It is known that Ethiopia has announced the “Green Footprint” Initiative to prevent natural disasters caused by climate change, ensure food security and build a green economy. Having received great recognition from world governments for its continuous efforts in the green era and environmental protection over the past years, it has been selected to host the great and 32nd United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP) 2027
This year, the Ministry of Revenue, Ms. Aynalem Nigusse, and other senior officials of the institutions, including the Commissioner of the Customs Commission, Debele Qabeta (Dr.), Deputy Commissioners of Customs, and other senior officials of the institutions, have left their mark on the 45-kilometer road corridor from ICT Park to Bishoftu South Exit, in a bid to showcase the country’s Green Deal initiative, urban green development, and environmental protection activities to the world.
In addition, the leaders and employees of both institutions planted saplings at a special place in Addis Ababa called Gerji Mariam.
They stated that the two institutions are also regularly taking care of the saplings they plant by hiring caretakers.
