With this, current league champions Arsenal will play Championship winners Coventry City at home in the league’s opening match at the Emirates.
It is worth remembering that Coventry City last participated in the English Premier League in the 2000/01 season.
In that season, they were relegated to the Championship after collecting 34 points from 38 games in the league and finishing 19th.
The club, led by Frank Lampard, is expected to be promoted to the Premier League for the 2026/27 season after a remarkable run of form.
The opening match of the 2026/27 season will be a match between the Premier League and Championship winners.
Arsenal will host Chelsea in the third round of the Premier League season in a London derby.
Arsenal will face Liverpool in the ninth round, Manchester City in the 12th round, Tottenham Hotspur in the 14th round and Manchester United in the 16th round.
Manchester City, who have appointed Enzo Maresca as their new manager after Pep Guardiola, will open their campaign at home to Bournemouth.

After the Manchester derby match in Week 4, they will face Chelsea in Week 9, Liverpool in Week 11 and current league champions Arsenal in Week 16.
Liverpool, who have appointed Anthony Martial as their new manager, will play Newcastle United in their opening match of the season.
Liverpool will face Manchester City in the 6th matchday, Arsenal in the 9th matchday, Manchester United in the 11th matchday and Everton in the Merseyside derby in the 12th matchday.
Chelsea, who finished the season without European competition, will play Fulham in the first matchday.
Chelsea will start the new season under the guidance of coach Xabi Alonso.
According to the schedule, the new English Premier League season will start on August 15, 2018.
